Important: change the mobile setting
Blogger can show its own simplified mobile template by default. If you do not change this setting, the desktop theme can look correct while the mobile design appears broken.
How to change it
- 1. Open Theme in Blogger.
- 2. In the Mobile section, select the gear icon.
- 3. "No. Show desktop theme on mobile devices" , then Save.
SEED Starter is responsive, so the desktop theme adapts naturally to phones.

Download the XML file
Use the button at the top of this page. The downloaded free theme includes the SEED logo in its footer.

Open Blogger β Theme
In Blogger, open Theme, select the menu beside Customize, then open Backup/Restore.

Upload the XML
Select Upload and choose the XML file you downloaded.

Change the mobile setting (required)
On the same Theme page, open Mobile β βοΈ β "No. Show desktop theme on mobile devices". Without this setting, the theme may look broken on mobile.

Verify the result
Refresh your blog on desktop and mobile. Posts organized with H2 and H3 headings automatically populate the table of contents.
Back up your current theme before installing. Use Download in the same Backup/Restore menu.

Is SEED Starter only for Blogger.com?
Yes. It is an XML theme uploaded through Blogger. It cannot be used as a WordPress, Tistory, or Shopify theme.
Does the free theme have license conditions?
Yes. You may download and use it for free, and the footer keeps the included SEED attribution.
Do I need to edit code to install it?
The basic installation only requires uploading the XML file. You must also set Blogger mobile display to use the desktop theme so the responsive design appears correctly.
Can I preview it before downloading?
